Comin’ home: HHH returns to RIBCO

Even in your hometown, there’s always one club that feels just right every time. For Head Held High, The Rock Island Brewing Company is that place. It doesn’t hurt that bassist Steve Krug and guitarist Ian Bishop are lifelong Rock Towners and frontman Jeffrey Loder lives about a block from the historic local music venue. There’s nothing like a RIBCO show. The atmosphere, the friends, the bartenders, the sound, the room… it’s always great. That’s why the band is always so thrilled to play there. So it is with great excitement they announce their return home on April 23.

Supporting HHH will be The Blushing Gun and the juggernaut known as The Post Mortems. It’s HHH’s first time with The Blushing Gun and the band is really looking forward to sharing the stage with some of Peoria’s best. As for The Post Mortems, if you haven’t seen this rock bass and drums tour de force then you clearly don’t even like music. It’s going to be a great night of local and regional bands so let’s make this a big one. Tell your friends there’s a party in The District on April 23. See you there.

Mustache Blast!

Last night Head Held High performed at the The Mustache Bash, a party and concert to raise funds for a full length version of ‘The Mustache Movie.’ It was a blast and a great time was had by everyone involved! It looked like the band particularly enjoyed the taco bar and the photo booth. The band played a set of tunes that included one of the pieces written by Jeff for the movie entitled, “Load My Gun.” The place was packed and the crowd was ready for a great time and a funny movie, and they were not disappointed. The next local showing of ‘The Mustache Movie’ will be March 31 at The Establishment Theatre.

In other live performance news, Head Held High will be returning home to their favorite spot The Rock Island Brewing Company very soon. More details to come in the upcoming week. Happy spring everyone!

Mustache Bash Line-up and Details

The Mustache Bash will be Saturday, March 19 from 7pm-11pm at The Redstone Room in Davenport, Iowa. The Mustache Move will be played in its entirety for the very first time EVAR, so don’t miss your chance to see it before anyone else! The bash will also feature music from Deluxe Republic, Corporate Rock, The Dani Lynn Howe Band, and of course, Head Held High. The cover is $6 or $5 with a mustache. There will also be a taco bar for your dining pleasure and a raffle. Show your support for local filmakers and musicians and check out The Mustache Bash! Head Held High will rock your faces off at 9pm, but you should show up early to hang out with us, eat tacos, and drink beer.

Head Held High to play fundraiser for ‘The Mustache Movie”

Head Held High returns to the stage March 19 at Davenport, Iowa’s The Redstone Room in support of a fundraiser for “The Mustache Movie.” Frontman and guitarist Jeffrey Loder recently contributed some tracks to the upcoming independent film, which premieres March 31 at Rock Island’s Establishment Theatre. Other bands on the card are yet to be announced. Cover is just $5 and HHH will take the stage around 9pm. This is the band’s first performance since releasing their new single ‘New Year’s Day‘ January 1. ‘New Year’s Day’ is available as a free download from http://music.headheldhigh.net.
